MBITS has two AC seminar halls with projector facility. And each one  having  capacity of more than 80 seats.

Ladies Hostel



The ladies Hostel is located inside the campus. The hostel campus was inaugurated on February 26th 2015 starting with three floor building with a total capacity of 32 rooms. Now the building area has been expanded to four-floors with the total capacity of 45 rooms. Each student is provided with a cot, a table and a chair in their respective rooms. Each room is provided with a ceiling fan.


The hostel system runs under the control of chief warden Prof. Leena Thomas and resident tutors. All the hostels have mess facilities for students.


Quality objectives


1. To provide good residential facilities with neat environment.


2. To provide nutritious food.


3. To improve the team spirit, cooperation and value elders whom the students meet.


General Facilities


Room


Each floor has 16 rooms of which one room in each floor has attached bathroom. Among 16 rooms in each floors, 15 rooms are allowed to be accommodated by students and each room can occupy upto 3 students. One room in each floor is allotted to faculty members. There is one common prayer space, recreation space and one office room in ground floor. There are study areas in each floor. To involve in group studies, the students can make use of the study hall.


Mess

A spacious dining hall with seating capacity of around 120 students at a time.


Visitors Room

Here the visitors, parents and other outsiders are allowed to wait.


Other facilities

Quality purified water is provided to the students using water purifier. Wi Fi connectivity is available in the hostel. The hostel is equipped with an inverter of 3KVA to provide students with an uninterrupted power supply . 24 hours security service is provided for the hostel. The students can relax themselves by involving in indoor or outdoor games during their leisure time. For relaxation and news gathering, the students can make use of Television which is available within the Mess hall.

Library

MBITS Central Library was Established in the year 2009 and has an excellent collection of 12,000 books, 69 journals & magazines and non-book materials. Books are classified according to Dewey Decimal Classification scheme. All the students, faculty, and non-teaching staff of MBITS are members of this library. Reprographic facility is available in the library premises. MBITS library follows an open access system Fully computerized library system with an OPAC search facility is functioning. The Library provides campus-wide IP- enabled access to on-line journals like IEEE digital library, Science Direct Information from National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) and other Electronic Resources are also available for the user community. The Library reading space can accommodate more than 150 students.


Entrepreneurship Development Cell

The EDC cell of MBITS was constituted in the year 2013.The incubation cell started one month after that and three companies were incubated on the same year. So far we have incubated 8 companies.

In the year 2015, EDC cell received a fund of two Lakh from Kerala startup mission for the promotion of entrepreneurship in the campus.

“Team Metal Heads”, in association with EDC cell developed the prototype and working model of an off roader and had came under tenth position in the all India competition held at Haryana. They also won the first prize in model expo conducted at one of a reputed college in Kerala.

On 29/03/2016,a workshop on “How to be a social entrepreneur and change maker” was organized for the students. Mr. Jibin Joy, Co-Founder, Bridge Innovations handled the session.

On April (4,5,6),2016 ,a couple of students had participated in the i3 workshop organized by Kerala startup mission and later had a briefing session at MBITS by the same students.

On 03/06/2016, a seminar on “Entrepreneurship Development” was organized for first year KTU students and Mr. Shahul Hameed, Fellow@starupmission handled the session.

On 11/06/2016, the nodal officer had attended the precursor meeting at FISAT organized under the guide ship of KTU.

The IEDC team of MBITS had participated in the startup 2016 meet up held on Aug-23rd at Trivandrum and had participated in the idea pitching competition.

The IEDC team organized a 3 day workshop on Android mobile software development course and around 40 students had participated in it.

The cell in association with the company wheebox and AICTE had conducted the wheebox eligibility skill test (WEST) for final year and pre final year students.

As a result of all this activities, our students are getting a platform to build their company with the support from the college management and eventually they will be trained to become an entrepreneur once they move out of the campus.

Our College is fully equipped with campus automation software, ELivecampus. By accessing the web, teachers can access information from home, whilst parents can access their  ward''s attendance and academic records.

Gents Hostel

Our Gents Hostel is located inside the campus. The three floor building with a total capacity of 32 rooms. Each student is provided with a cot, table,chair, shelf and cupboard in their respective rooms. Each room is provided with a ceiling fan.
